Splinters aren't made to last. Because in the event of a power surge, the surge protector directs this additional voltage to the MOV component. This component degrades when subjected to either a small number of large surges or a large number of smaller surges. That's why I like to swap out my old power strip, because I've had it for a few years now. This power strip features five 3-prong outlets that are conveniently positioned to leave plenty of room for bulky power adapters. It also has 3 USB sockets, which is very handy as so many electronic devices these days come without an adapter. The extra long extension is also great because it gives me a choice of seating. I am very happy with this Prong Power Strip Extension and would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to replace it.
