Well, in my humble opinion, Kindles are pretty sturdy, including the screens. I can't tell you how long mine ran without a single failure. To be honest, I would choose a Kindle over any tablet if it was compatible with many of the apps I use every day. Anyway, I digress. When I said Kindles are rugged, I meant it, but screens do scratch, so I'd rather protect them. I usually use a matte screen protector, it's thin and easy to apply. This does the trick and helps prevent scratches. When I saw this tempered glass I decided to take a look and it was easy enough to put on but it is the thinnest and most brittle tempered glass I have ever seen. I don't see anything bigger than my flexible screen protector and it breaks pretty easily. Overall it's good, but it's nothing that stands out from the rest.
