Bought these after hearing rave reviews from Rescue Spa for use with Biologique Recherche products. Not only did they not work well with BR products, they just sucked. They fall apart before you can take them out of the case they are in, which is why some cartridges have two sides of mesh while others don't. The cotton itself is beautiful. Very smooth and does not cause irritation. In customer reviews, I see several photos where one side is soft and the other smooth. This is not what I received. There is a mesh layer on one side that can be removed. If you're looking for soft-sided circles, be aware that this is probably not what you're going to get. I will be going back to my Shiseido cotton squares and saving them to use for nail polish remover.
