We installed a bird feeder in front of our dining room window so we could see our feathered friends visiting during breakfast each morning. With 5 cats we had no bird activity because all the cats jumping on the windows would drive the birds into a frenzy and fly off to greener pastures. You can't see the evil, serial killer-prone furballs lurking on the other side of the window and you can eat in peace. It's a win-win because our sociopathic cats are having fun and innocent birds aren't getting any wiser. The downside is that the film has a blue tint so we can't see the bird colors as well as we would like, but without it we can't see birds so despite the tint we're very happy. The window films and foils are never easy to work with and it takes two people to make them look beautiful. It's never going to be perfect as there are always little bubbles here and there despite our best efforts to get rid of them, but for the most part it looks pretty even when applied carefully. Pick up is not a quick 10 minute process. Take some time and grab an extra pair of hands. Read the directions and use J&J Baby Shampoo with a spray bottle of water to spray the windows and apply the product. My package had a nice little scraper and cutter blade. Both were very helpful and I'm glad they were there.
