The jar itself is beautiful, but in its desire to increase subscription revenue, Simplehuman has built a major flaw into all of its jars. Each jar now has a built in bag dispenser. This hole is supported by a purple piece of plastic containing Simplehuman's patented trash bags. This hole creates weak points in the can and adds a large, bulky block to the back of the can. In fact, after a month of use, the plastic holder jumped out of the jar and it seems that it cannot be put back. This means that every time I pick up a bin liner, the plastic holder gets stuck on the bin liner making it impossible to remove. This is a major disadvantage of selling branded bags to us - I am very disappointed.
