It was very easy to use this product as a replacement for the original lacing. At first I tried to follow the included instructions and pattern but got frustrated with the lacing kept coming off the needle. After several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to cut the leather lace at about a 15 degree angle, which left me about a 3/4 inch taper to thread it into the needle, rather than notching it as shown in the picture. I also used a small pair of needle noses. Pliers to slightly open some of the small holes in the glove. Using this method, I was able to thread the lacing through the glove in about 10 minutes. Unless you are a professional glove lacer, I highly recommend changing the lacing by pulling the damaged lace through two holes at the same time while pushing the needle through the glove.
