Review on ๐Ÿงฆ Ultimate Comfort for Women: Thorlos Kxw Max Cushion Hiking Crew Socks by Bryan Turner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Mostly excellent, but there are snags in the thicker parts.

Very comfortable socks - whether for hiking or walking, working in the garden or walking around the house. down in my boots even after a year of wear and many washes. The sock padding makes them comfortable and helps reduce foot fatigue and blisters, but it's not thick enough for my boots to bunch up or clump them up. I've had other types of Thorlo socks that had so much padding in the toe area that they were too thick for my shoes, or the padding pressed down on the sides of my toes and caused uncomfortable chafing, but that didn't help. There were no problems with this couple. The seams on the fingers are also pleasant. The reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the fabric of the thicker heels and toes quickly started to stretch. There was no hole, only threads sticking out here and there. I used a sweater hook to thread some of these long puffs through my socks a few times to prevent my toes from getting stuck in them (if they were inside) or tripping over them and forming more serious hooks. in a sock (if they were outside). The socks are still quite serviceable and comfortable - it was just a constant minor repair issue which is quite painful. I think I'll try a different type when it comes time to order more hiking socks.
