Not identical to the soft white version

This version of my favorite Thorios Max Cushion Socks is a size 180 compared to the white Max Cushion hiking socks. The material of hiking socks looks as if they are made of a very coarse fiber that does not relax when worn. I felt like the goat head stickers in my socks would bother me all day. Also, unlike the white Thorios hiking socks, they were too tight even before washing, leaving marks on the legs showing the fabric of the sock and, worse, the upper indentation in the calf. This does…

Disappointed overall

Sock height is 7.5 inches (heel to toe) which is 1 inch shorter than another new pair of Thorlos socks I just bought and they should be the same size (average for women, 7-9). The sock can stretch up to 9 inches, but not that easily. Either these socks were not packaged properly or they are the wrong size. The "crew" portion of the sock is also a bit short, should be 1-2 inches larger. The cushion is definitely not 'max', it's no thicker than the 'light' or 'medium' cushions in my other Thorlos

High quality comfortable socks for life

I LOVE Goalless definitely. I bought my original Thorlos hiking shoes in the mid 1990's when I was an ER doctor to wear with my boots. I had about 8 pairs, most of which I still have, although some of the heels are worn. They are high quality, comfortable, not too hot and when I needed better socks to wear with an Achilles tendon injury recently I chose them. They get a bit fuzzy the first time, but I expect they will last for years. In my experience, sizes vary between Thorlo models, so always

DEFINITELY A 5 STAR SOCK

I bought these for my wife as I saw her darning her old Thorlos (I didn't know anyone else who darned socks). However, I only ordered one pair because things change and I wanted to make sure these socks were of as good quality as her worn socks. They are and I will be ordering five more pairs tonight because she washes these new ones every night so she can wear them every day. Comfortable, soft, beautiful and will last for many years. Yes they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. And…

Fantastic for hiking and to wear like iron!

I bought my first two pairs of these socks in 2011 when I started hiking to lose weight. At first I was unhappy about the blisters, but after receiving these socks - NO MORE BLISTERS! I hiked 4 to 7 times a week for 4 to 7 hours straight. Every step was a pleasure with these socks! I bought two more pairs in 2012 although the original socks were still in good condition. Now in 2017 I have bought two more pairs. Not because the others were worn out, but to keep in my emergency bag. I hope I…

Hook Line & Sinker - LOVE THESE SOCKS!

First pair and I can say I'm hooked :) I love these socks - fit perfectly - keep my feet warm but not too hot - love them! - Another addition to my previous post (first statement). It took a while and soon I was just hooked. I am in love with this brand and will probably never go back! and never lose too much I love the extra arch support and it's so helpful for those whose feet just need extra care because they hurt or you stand on them all day etc. It's a great combination. I wouldn't advise…

Mostly excellent, but there are snags in the thicker parts.

Very comfortable socks - whether for hiking or walking, working in the garden or walking around the house. down in my boots even after a year of wear and many washes. The sock padding makes them comfortable and helps reduce foot fatigue and blisters, but it's not thick enough for my boots to bunch up or clump them up. I've had other types of Thorlo socks that had so much padding in the toe area that they were too thick for my shoes, or the padding pressed down on the sides of my toes and caused
