I cook a lot. So I wanted new, less worn pot holders. And these look great! But they don't work well in my hot 450 or 500 degree oven! They are advertised as sealing heat of at least 450 degrees. But I do feel a certain sting when I use them to roast meat at 500 degrees, or when cooking on two or three hot oven racks at the same time. Instead, they work best for my microwave mugs of coffee or other microwave foods. I'm a bit disappointed as I wanted more than just flashy red potholders. It's great that I kept some of my old battered but best oven mitts, oven mitts that can withstand real cooking in a hot oven.
