I replaced older inexpensive halogen lights from a home improvement store hoping to save some electricity. The halogens also burn out bulbs within months. You came see from the side by side picture that they are similar in size and connect exactly the same. Kit came with wire connectors, mount, and a rubber like gasket for the base. The base is an outdoor plastic and the lights themselves are metal with fins that act as a heat sink. I will update on their longevity after some use. However, they did work right out of the box. Note that the color is daylight and it yellow like a halogen. Note that they are protected under an awning and so these won’t be subject to direct showers.Update: I have had them for 4 months now and they still work well. No issues. I sprayed water on them and no issues. All LEDs still work. I had to point them down to the ground as they light up my yard and all my neighbors yards!Update 2: I have had these lights for 9 months now and have no issues. No water gets into them and all the leds still work. I am happy with them.
