Better than avg flatware finish & pot handles

- No country of origin but all the tags are in ChineseThe non-stick on these is extremely thin but as expected. It's almost silly to even bother with it for emergency/camp cookware anyway so I don't care. The "sponge" they provide, however, is just a scrubber and will shorten the life of it drastically. This has the best flatware I've seen yet. This style is common, and not my favorite, but the heads are the best quality I've seen. Nicely softened edges, good sizes, even the knife is good enough metal to take a sharpening (it's straight edge, not butter/serrated). The sliding locks are ick but eh.Pots themselves are great - standard for these sets but the handles are tons better. Whatever that red coating is, is thick and takes heat very well. It does still burn in direct flame but doesn't get deformed and dissipates the heat quickly. Very sturdy and comfortable to use.I like the sets with a kettle because a lot of our camp/prep foods are freeze dried but it's great to have the pots for anything fresh caught/picked as well. The ladle isn't as good quality, finish or metal, as the flatware but it's fine. Nice to have one in a set like this.Wooden spatula is fine - shorter than is truly useful but one makes due for portability and weight. The "cups". the silicone ring makes them usable for hot stuff. They can't be stacked while it's on but I just stack them and put both on one for packing. The cups are much smaller than I'd prefer but that's kind of a personal preference I guess. It's generally an average set for this type, but because of the superior handles and flatware finish, I'd recommend this over all the others I have of the same type.Which reminds me, there are zillions of these sets, in various configurations, from these foreign Alibaba-esque resellers so still price check but I do think this one's better than avg even though it's without actual plates.Don't forget to use the Smile.ebay.com address - It's an ebay program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from ebay to the charity of your choice at no cost to you. Pros
  • UPGRADE: This is an upgraded version of the Bulin cookware 4-piece set, you will have more durable and practical accessories. The addition of cutlery and a burner makes it become a perfect solo mountaineering set.
Cons
  • The lightweight materials used to construct the cookware may not hold up well over time, resulting in wear and tear that renders the set less useful over time
