Large numerals and clock hands glow when the room is fairly dark. The brightness is adjustable from off to maximum. Turning the setting halfway will give you useful light and hopefully extend battery life. Easy to read day and night. An attractive matte silver case surrounds a black dial with white numerals. The clock is lightweight, making it easy to hang. This leads to my only complaint: for the price, I wish the hanger had been included. The watch was packaged beautifully and the foam sleeve and bubble wrap protected it. Received without damage. We just got this, so I can't rate the battery life or accuracy yet. Stay with us. Update: The watch has been running for 2 or 3 months. now and I noticed that it flickers twice. So far, a vigorous tapping with the knuckles seems to help. Apparently the connection is bad. If it doesn't get worse, we'll still be happy.
