This light is NOT suitable for continuous outdoor use. The title is wrong and misleading. That's the main reason I bought them. The lights themselves are well designed. The battery operated remote control comes with batteries already installed and is easy to use. UPDATE: After wrapping it around the canopy post outside for 1 week, I went to turn on the light. The cable slipped out of the battery compartment rendering this product unusable. (I suspect the moisture on the outside has something to do with it.) I emailed the company saying they should remove "waterproof" from the description of this item. The company refuses to change its description. Therefore, I will report this product to Revain myself.
