Review on Samman Black Stainless Steel Hood Latch Lock Kit for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK & Unlimited (JKU): Compatible with Sport Rubicon Sahara Models by Kipp Amundson

I am ordering these bonnet latches instead of regular plastic latches. Based on previous reviews I expected that the nut on the lower assembly would be difficult to get to (it's in an awkward spot behind the headlights). What I found was that the Samman latch assembly had many burrs that would never allow the top latch assembly to penetrate the hood mounted top latch assembly. 8 had to take the parts apart, sand and then prime and paint the parts when I got the spacing right. What a big disappointment. No customer should expect a painted part to be modified to make it work.
