I bought this fan to take on a plane because I get claustrophobic when the air gets stuffy. I carried it in my purse. It's a push button, not a slide switch, so it got pushed in my purse and drained the battery, and because the fan in my purse wouldn't turn on, it got very hot, like it was on fire. The first time I caught it and pressed the button to turn it off but because the button is so easy to press it happened again and when I took it out to use it was the battery I had just put in , before I left, empty. This fan is great for home use, it will stand on its own but try not to take it anywhere. I'll try folding next time.
