They are supplied without the stems attached.

Shown are alder cones attached to stems. Mine arrived - without any stems! They were used to make wreaths. Received ones are useless for wreaths. Disappointed that the picture distorts the real product. Wouldn't recommend or buy again, especially for the high price.
