Review on πŸ“Ÿ White ABS Stratux Case equipped with Fan for Enhanced Performance by Jim Roberts

including tools and hardware

There's a funny story why I got this case, but I won't tell it here. I had an older Stratux case with Plexiglas panels glued together. The antenna connectors are on the narrow end, making it a little easier to stow away in a bag. (The antennas/connectors only stick out on one end, not both, so there's a little less chance of them snagging on something in my pocket.) I have enough room for an AHRS module, a GPS, and two SDRs. It seems to be a little more durable than my old case (which started falling apart at the hinges after about a year). The antenna cables need some tidying up, but it only took a few seconds. I really like that the tools were included. (These are cheap tools. You probably won't pass them on to your grandkids, but if you didn't already have the tools you need, at least you don't have to buy them extra for that. I just wish I could send the tools back so they didn't end up in a landfill.) The plastic is a little flimsy, but it makes the suitcase a little smaller and lighter. All in all, I'm glad I switched to this business. (And I paid less for it than the Lucite case. I recommend it over the clear Lucite.)

Pros
  • Fits Stratux AHRS board.
Cons
  • Reliability
