I bought this hoping to use as a feeder and not just for shrimp. Incredibly, everyone in my aquarium turned to the feeders as soon as I tossed in a few mosquito larvae. Even the snails managed to snag a few worms, which they've never managed to do before! If you're looking for a permanent, communal feeding station, this is the one for you! The only complaint I have is that smaller fish can definitely swim into the tube if you leave too much space between the bowl and the tube itself. I caught one of my crustaceans that was too curious and got stuck. Luckily all I had to do was twist the tube out of the way for it to float out, but be sure to take precautions and understand that this is possible before you buy! Otherwise it was worth it, I would buy again if I installed another large aquarium.
