I like these dice because diamond drill bits can be saved by number. When I complete a new project I make a number label (as in the DMC number) on the top of each cube (add R for round or S for square). I make a second label for the face of the cube that shows the symbol for that color number. Each die is numerically in a larger box. The final step in preparing the kit is to affix the project label to the top of the large box and tape a copy of the legend to the inside of the lid for a handy quick reference. After the project is complete, I pour the leftovers into the main boxes, organized by number. I remove the symbol label from the face of the empty cube but leave the DMC number on top for possible use in the next project. As each new set arrives, drills can be added to your main collection of dice. Another advantage of single cubes is that they can be opened with one hand.
