My old fan failed while driving so I bought it for half the price instead of spending $150 on an original Toyota. and it works just as well. This is the perfect replacement for the original. It was a little awkward getting under the dash to get the screws out, but doable. Now my air conditioner/heater blows as hard as a new car. After owning it for about 8 months, I noticed that the fan would hum up and down whenever I turned on the AC/heater. I haven't given it much thought, but for the past few months or so the fan has had a certain audible clicking noise that's pretty annoying on low settings. Something, either in the fan bearings or in the motor, is failing and the fan isn't working as I thought it would. You might think that making a simple fan assembly for around $75 isn't that hard, but apparently it's not. I contacted the seller and they kept texting me that they would get back to me within 24 hours. I finally got a reply from them and they basically told me there was nothing they could do for me as the 1 year warranty had expired. I tried to contact them further to see if they would replace the fan assembly at a discounted price but they have not responded. Since I now have a defective fan unit again after about 8 months of use, I downgraded my stars. from five to one. Keep that in mind and look for the best alternative when you need to replace your car's cooling fan.
