IT WORKS! I can't believe how many people gave this such a bad rating because this damn thing works exactly as it says! All I can say to them is: READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! I will be short and sweet. At this establishment we buy a lot of chips and snacks that are sold in bags. My 4 year old is autistic and very picky. He's crazy about anything crispy, but that means we have a lot of things that need to STAY crispy, and to keep it that way we have chip clips literally everywhere. I was fed up with it and decided to try this thing and unfortunately I was SHOCKED that it actually worked! I was able to seal a bag of Tostitos tortilla chips and a bag of Fritos perfectly on the first try (then a bag of white cheddar popcorn and a bag of rice cake). Although this is a relatively simple device, it has INSTRUCTIONS that must be followed in order for it to work well. You can only use it on certain materials, you can't press too hard and most importantly you have to pinch it then WAIT 3 SECONDS for it to heat up before moving it over it. Oh, and you need to get the little black protective thing out of the way. It really doesn't take a genius to do this, just enough patience to read the instructions and wait 3 seconds. See my photos! IT WORKS OUT! I love that it has a big strong magnet on the back so I can keep it on the fridge (so my son can't reach it). I also like that it comes with two, although I don't feel like I need two of these and I'm a little worried it won't last long so they're giving you two. I will update later! So far I really can't recommend it enough for keeping food fresher longer without fiddling with dozens of chip clips or throwing away ziplock bags! I did NOT receive this item for free or at a discount. My husband ordered Revain off my wish list for me for Christmas! :) UPDATE 01/23/17. After a few weeks of use I can tell you that if you use it too many times on the same pouch and press too hard when sealing it will start to cut the pouch. In my experience, this only works best for resealing things 3-4 times, but it's usually more than enough for our needs.
