Review on ๐Ÿš˜ TYC 800023P2 Mazda Cabin Air Filter Replacement by Nhyiraba Wilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A good filter needs better control.

Unfortunately I didn't unpack this item until I had the dashboard half apart. I removed my old OEM filter and then opened a new filter. It looked fine in the sealed bag, but then I found that the adhesive from the foam strip at the top of the top filter had stuck to the plastic wrap. I had to cut it carefully. In the process, I lost some of the foam itself (see photos of a real new filter with foam rubber torn off and packaging with foam stuck to it). The filter should still work fine, but that's the downside of a good deal. I gave "easy to install" 3/5 because it's tedious but inherently. not really the fault of the filter. My overall rating of 3/5 comes from not wanting the product to be taped to the packaging. This is the most important quality problem. And since my dashboard was already torn, I used a new filter instead of putting it back in because it took me an hour to get to this point and I wanted it to be done. The foam on the stock filter was of much better quality, but again likely had little impact on functionality.

Pros
  • Removes nearly 100% of exhaust fumes and airborne contaminants
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
