Think of it as a thin "dry fit" t-shirt. It is not thick enough to protect the chair from pet claws. I spilled water on it and it hit the leather of my chair directly. Not sure how well it blocks sweat and sebum as it gets wet and absorbs quickly. All in all, I'm not sure how protective this can be. I have a SecretLab Titan and it fits perfectly. Easy to put on and take off. I'm willing to sacrifice the chair's looks for protection, but I'm not sure if that actually protects anything. I could just sit in a chair. That would be nice for people who have the first version of the Titan, which is very flaky.
