Usually for gym wear or sports bra and bottoms, I have a small top and a very small bottom. I could probably use the bra for a run or a bit of cardio, I don't think I would use it for running or the elliptical. So overall it fits well. Medium density bra with removable cups. The floor is very elastic. They may seem small without the packaging, but you can definitely put them on easily. I wouldn't suggest a compression fit for me at a size small and they are fairly high waisted. I will be wearing a set but as you know the workout clothes will loosen up a bit over time as this set is very stretchy. I recommend going down a size if you're between sizes or smaller overall.
