Review on Aquarium Programmable Extendable Waterproof 12 18Inch by Cindy Foster

I applied this to my 20g long today and I love it! The automatic timer function was very important to me because my working hours mean that it is not always possible for me to be at home to control the light manually on a regular basis. I also plan to get a planted aquarium in the near future which will come in handy. One thing to watch out for when you first turn it on is that the white light is set to maximum brightness, which can startle your fish if you're coming from a cheaper light that doesn't get very bright. When I first turned it on it was set to low intensity red light, it took a few button presses to switch to other colors (even low intensity) before I got to white light and it was SO bright. felt like i died and i was at the pearly gates and my betta had a mini freak too lol. I don't think any of us have ever seen such a bright tank. There was nothing wrong, but definitely shocking. I had to reduce the intensity from 100 to around 70. If I had known this beforehand, I probably would have turned it on and switched it to white light before putting it on the tank. Otherwise I set the day. /Night timer for 30 minutes. At first I was a bit confused about how all the buttons work and how they control all the settings so I had to read the manual multiple times, but every technology has its own learning curve so don't complain! Happy to see how it works as long as it's a great investment. My rooster and his future roommates will be very happy!
