We bought this "spaceship" due to the fact that the cat turned out to be shy and needed a secluded place for the toilet. A regular tray can easily fit into this tray, so if you don’t want to mess with the filler, there is an alternative. I hope the cat will approve of it as a toilet, and not just as an interesting place from which to hunt. I'm ating my review after a few months of use: The toilet is worth every penny spent on it. When traveling to the country / visiting relatives, we take it with us, the cat goes strictly to it, without surprises. At home, just go to him.
