This disc was nicely packaged. I took it out of the box and plugged it into my computer. He was recognized immediately. I prepared the files for copying and when I tried to copy them, the hard drive disappeared. I went into disk management and the whole computer froze. Disconnecting fixed the problems with the PC, and reconnecting froze everything again. For that reason I can't recommend this drive, I'd be afraid to do backups on it if it doesn't even last an hour.
