I consider myself to be particularly audiophile and wanted to quantify how well balanced my home AV system is. For this job I bought a VLIKE sound level meter. I couldn't be more please. The device is very easy to use and has changed my sound system quite a bit. Most modern systems have a microphone and Audessy does that automatically, but I prefer to know the settings. The meter has two filter options, A and C. C is the setting you need to use to calibrate the speaker for true sound pressure. A is weighted and relative to human hearing. If you buy one, I hope you find it as useful as I do.
