My 10 year old son had two issues with this so this rating should be used when used by a player who is not yet in high school. First, the metal holding the ball was bent after the ball was hit and the device fell to the turf. Obviously, this process takes place after each impact, so the metal should not simply bend under the influence of gravity, which naturally transfers the device to the turf after the ball is released. I was able to bend the metal back into shape but that shouldn't have happened as the purpose is to hold the ball and it wasn't abused. The second problem was that one of the two legs broke at the rivet where the leg connects to the metal bracket. The leg came off due to a popped rivet (it didn't happen when folding) but it happened when my son missed the ball and kicked his leg while trying to score a field goal. He obviously kicked it like any high school kid would, so I think he should be able to take a few kicks from a 10 year old. If you are in high school or college your aim will be better and this may not be a problem but for elementary school and junior high school. High school students, this device may be too fragile for your use. This is a great concept, but it needs better execution.
