Make small books a breeze with this quality punch

This steel ruler punch makes it easy to create books from heavy materials. Not all dies can work with heavy chipboard or matte card stock, but this die was specifically designed to do the job. This means my book covers are strong. While the instructions that come with the crystal aren't stellar, a quick YouTube search for the stamp will uncover a wealth of tutorials, some created by designer Eileen Hull herself. They are actually quite easy to assemble. I use them to create passport-sized travel notebooks and Midori-style notebooks for useless items. Overall I just love this stamp, but there are a few things to keep in mind.* Choosing a design for a book cover isn't easy. It's easy if you're just using design paper, but the designs I use, with images and text on the front, are more difficult. Through a combination of resizing my images in Photoshop and careful placement on the crystal, I was able to do this, but it can be a little frustrating. This isn't a dice error, it's the nature of the steel ruler as you can't see through the position*. , a lighter weight paper that you can use for inside pages that will be cut through instead of just being folded in half like it should be. I even bought a crease block to prevent this, but I waste more paper than trying to trim the insides with it because it'll be halved anyway. Despite these two small flaws, I love this matrix and how easy it is to create small passport-sized books.
