Cheap hardware and outdated software.

The DVR I received was broken right out of the box. Video playback has jagged vertical lines and is discolored. I know my cameras aren't the problem because they worked great on my old DVR which is 7 years old. I bought this new dash cam because I wanted the best app for remote viewing and playback. The direct connect and remote access applications for this DVR are almost identical to my old DVR which was a big disappointment. I should have known better than to buy the cheapest product available. I returned it immediately. Even if you get one that works, be prepared for a clunky experience.
