Cloned TIVO drive in hard drive cases

12/29/2020: Rating changed from 4 to 5 stars. The included power adapter works fine and I have successfully cloned my PC drive and another TIVO drive. This little box saved me from spending $200 on a TIVO repair, but I bought a new drive for $74 for a 2TB drive. So the overall savings paid off on this clone box and still saved me money. There is no need to format the new drive on LINUX as the cloning process copies the old Tivo drive including the protected area used by TIVO which is not captured by a normal backup. It may not be fast but it worked for me at least 4 times. I used this to successfully clone a 2TB Tivo Premiere drive to another 2TB drive. Took 6 hours but worked great. I used a small desktop fan to blow over the drives as they got very hot (as expected). I was able to save all my notes. The old disk had problems but was still usable, otherwise the cloning process would not have worked. I would have given it 5 stars, but I received an email saying - Supports two SATA hard drives at the same time, an additional power supply is required. The device comes with a power adapter, I'm not sure if that's the right one! We are awaiting a response from WEME on this matter. I know that when using the device as a dock and USB 3, the Linux command only saw drive A and not drive B, but cloned offline (USB not plugged in). I'm hoping this is an issue with the power supply as I would really like to use it as a docking station to format and copy a TIVO drive.
