For a long time I just used the washi tape I had laying around but since it looked so messy I finally invested. At first I was worried about their transparency, so I chose red. It's very easy to install on your laptop, iPad, etc. You simply peel off the protective film and stick it on carefully, and you're done! It slides back and forth very easily and I have no problems with it. I've used it on my laptop and iPad so far, both have no issues. Because it's thin, you can easily close your laptop or iPad case. If I need more, I will buy more of these!
