I bought two Cable Matters Cat6 Ethernet cables that are 75 feet each and a Cable Matters Active USB 3.0 32 foot extender. I needed them for a theatrical performance to transmit a video signal. I tested a 75ft Cat6 ethernet cable with my HDMI transmitter, the signal was lagging and consistently transmitting around 3-5fps. I switched to another 100ft Cat 5e that was in the theater as a backup, the video signal was smooth and clear. I also tested the USB 3.0 extension with a regular Logitech USB camera, the frame rate was also very low, around 3-5 fps. I had to borrow another extension cord and the signal was smooth and normal again. After these two tests, I came to the conclusion that the quality of Cable Matter definitely has some issues. It was a waste of my money and time. Also, I wasted some of the technical time I had in the theater trying to fix this problem and find replacement solutions. I've recorded several videos testing Cable Matter and another brand and showing that Cable Matter's quality has some obvious issues while another brand gets the job done. Now that I have these 3 cables, they are practically useless to me. I sent them back for a refund. This wasted quite a bit of time, so I just wanted to share with everyone here, look out for this branded cable, at least if you're looking to stream videos!
