Let me start by saying that these bar stools look very, VERY pretty when finished. They are incredibly strong and I have no doubt that they can live for a very long time and withstand a very large amount of weight. As many other reviewers have pointed out, assembly is a PAIN. with what they give you in the box, that is! This is the only reason I didn't rate these stools 5/5 stars. Here are some tips on what we did when assembling the stools that made assembly 1000 times easier: 1. Immediately throw the Allen key they give you in the bin. Don't even look at it unless you want to remove the screws right away.2. Have a small ratchet handy, some wood glue (or even regular school glue), a microfiber cloth, and a hammer. You'll need to attach a 4mm Allen bit to the ratchet for the screws they provide you with (and yes you CAN use the screws provided! They're good quality, although we're still not sure why you gave them them Zinc Plated Tapcon Screws for Outdoor Use (cement). labor, they're not cheap to make!) 3. Assemble both legs as shown in picture 1 in the instructions before screwing in the screws. MAKE SURE you are using the correct pieces of wood in the correct holes (shorter cross piece goes in the bottom hole, each side should have a long dotted leg and a non dotted leg on top) and the correct length. Screws (short, for this part).4. When driving screws, do so slowly and safely; Do not apply too much force/torque at once or REMOVE THE SCREW! Luckily, if that happens (and you're not too close to the end yet) you can unscrew them and use the spare screw they give you. With a ratchet it is very easy to quickly turn the screws without removing them. Do the same for the long seat bolts.5. When you're done assembling the chair body (including the seat bracket), choose which side of the chair you want to face the wall (in case you made a mistake with the first pair of cap pins). Apply a small bead of glue to the flat side of a wooden dowel and insert it into one of the holes on the side of the chair that faces the wall. Push it in as hard as you can, then cover the pen with a microfiber cloth. Take a hammer and tap it LIGHTLY, checking from time to time how far it's gone. If you hammer too hard or too deep, the pin will go too deep and split the surrounding tree. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe away any excess glue so it doesn't leave marks on the chair. Hope this helps everyone! In the case of customer pictures, I also attach a picture of our stools.
