Review on 🐠 Aquarium Fish Breeder Box: Isolation, Hatchery, and Separation Net – White Blue by Meron Thompson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good concept, incomplete information about the box

I like this box very much. I wanted to put 5 stars but there are downsides. It's big enough to hold a large group of juveniles - definitely takes up quite a bit of space in my 20G tank. The young fish fall through the bottom into the net. You need to. If the young are not separated from the female, she will eat them. In that regard, the box works great. After the female has done what she wanted to do, she returns to the main tank and the blue plastic can be removed to allow the brood full use of the box. However, the description of the content listed on Revain differs from what is listed on the box. And the directions are reversed. The packaging states that the kit includes 2 metal hooks with plastic nails, along with instructions and pictures for assembly. They are not included in the Revain description or in the packaging. Did the seller seriously search all the boxes and remove those plastic nails? The instructions also state that the net should be placed over the box so that the hole for the net is at the bottom of the box. This means that the young fish are released into the open tank immediately after birth and are not kept in a net. I suppose it's fine if you set up a completely different tank and the fry just stay in that tank while they sink into the cracks and the female is removed from that tank. But if this box is in a tank with other fish, then when they come into the main tank and are uncovered, the other fish will eat all the juveniles. The finished image even shows the network open at the top. I used it with a hole in the top so the net will hold the roasts in if they fall through the cracks. Then I removed the female; The juveniles were in the main tank but were safe and healthy before consumption as they were in a mesh box. Also, there are tabs on the box for attaching 6 suction cups, but there are only 2, so it's cheap. Suction cups are not expensive, they could be included. The box would be more securely attached to the tank if all six were present. Without these flaws I would have given 5 stars.
