We bought this to keep the champagne cold as bottles don't tend to fit well in our regular drinks coolers. The product description says "Chill a 750ml 1L bottle of wine, a bottle of champagne or a large bottle of beer." I was skeptical that it would hold bottles of different sizes, but the description made it explicit Champagne so I figured the 750ml wine bottles would have more wiggle room. We could still squeeze in a bit of a bottle of champagne before freezing, but it was tight. After freezing, the packaging loses the flexibility it used to have and, without reasonable effort, more than half of a bottle of champagne fits inside. Sparkling wine. Since it didn't work for us, we can't comment on how well keeping something chilled worked.
