Our adjustable door gates would slide off the door frame if our dog jumped on them. If we tightened the adjustable poles enough to prevent them from slipping, the aluminum frame of the gate would warp and the gate would become difficult to close and latch. We ordered these wall caps when replacing the adjustable bars hoping they would slow down the sliding. They not only slowed the gliding, they stopped it completely. Our gates only withstand normal bar pull, do not deform and these wall cups are securely fastened without leaving a mark. Much better than other harder plastic cups. Large enough to accommodate large rod tips. Great solution to an old problem! We will recommend them to our daughter who has a gate for her young child.
