Okay, I've been driving this thing around for a week now and I really like it. I wanted to share my thoughts with those who are looking to buy a cell phone holder for their car and address some of the biggest concerns people have as I have seen from the reviews. I've been looking for a phone mount for my car since my last vent mount failed and I wanted one that would wirelessly charge my phone and also have an auto clamp feature. Here are some features of this mount: STABILITY/SECURITY. So far, when I've ridden Chicago's bumpy, pothole-filled streets, this thing has kept my phone secure and stable once attached to the mount. This was a big problem for me as my last vent mount wobbled and fell off whenever I hit a bump. I use the iOttie as a dash mount and with the included small stabilizing plate the whole unit stays very secure and doesn't wobble at all when I'm driving. 5 stars in this regard. Qi Wireless Charging: I've noticed a lot of people complaining about the charging speed of this thing and other similar products. I just wanted to remind all complainers that this is a QI phone mount with WIRELESS CHARGING. Obviously it doesn't charge your phone as fast as a traditional charger. Based on my experience on the road (I'm in the grocery delivery business, which means my phone is on for hours while Maps and other apps run), this thing gives me enough juice to get me through the day. On average I would say I get about 10% for every 30 minutes on the mountain. That's not bad considering you can always plug your phone into a real charger (using the lighter plug that comes with this cable, which isn't included) when you really need a boost. I also use a fairly thick case on my phone and charging still works. 4/5 Stars Auto Clamp Feature: This is one of my favorite features. Automatic cocking levers are reliable and durable. As soon as you put your phone on the holder, the arms open and close automatically after one second. The buttons on either side work really well too, you can press either one individually or both at the same time to open the clips. Once in the clamps, my phone doesn't move at all. 5 Stars. Installation: Fairly easy to install, instructions are a little vague, but given time and reasonable practicality I got everything set up in 30 minutes. It took so long because it is recommended to leave the dash stabilizer plate in place for 15-20 minutes before attaching the suction cup. I can only recommend this. 4.5/5 Stars Overall, this item was worth every penny. The versatility of mounting methods gives you the freedom to hold your phone the way you want, depending on your car's configuration. Even in bumpy off-road conditions, the clamp is reliable and safe. Charge is consistent, and while it doesn't come with blazing-fast charge speeds, it gets the job done. Highly recommended!
