Before I bought it, I opted for the more expensive and supposedly better version. I sent it back almost immediately and decided to give it a try because a lot of people recommended it even though they thought it was rubbish. ), I think there's a reason why it's so popular and also so cloned: it just works great. The more expensive one I bought earlier was also about three times the size and weight. It is handy and can be easily stowed away when not in use. This was a bonus in my tight space. So if space is an issue, this guy is a winner. I've been working with this device to desolder multiple SMD components with ease and I really like it. If you're only into SMD components, go for these. Maybe there are better and more expensive ones out there but this will work great as you learn and probably a lot more.
