This is literally the most disappointing thing I've ever had. I bought the exact same product eight years ago and it was AMAZING, I've been using it all the time. Now they ruined it. It used to be sleek and stylish, intuitive to use and with an easy-to-read screen. Now it's clunky, ugly, and UNREADABLE (the writing at the top and bottom of the screen is COLORFUL in faint letters on a black background - I can't even read them with my reading glasses, and I don't even use my reading glasses to read! They're just for emergencies!). The worst thing is that every time you want to record something it takes A FULL THREE SECONDS to "turn on". Don't you think 3 seconds is a very long time? Wait until you have something important to remember. This wasn't in the old version; I'm amazed why it suddenly took me so long to get ready to shoot now. It's so frustrating that I've tried to keep the recorder in "ready" mode (ie not blocking it) the whole time - despite the risk of it accidentally PLAYING MY NOTES IN PUBLIC FOR ITSELF - which it does often does - but even that doesn't work because it's somehow never ready to write even in the "unlocked" state. I suppose the only thing this might be useful for is if you were in MONK TRAINING and really wanted to improve your PATIENCE SKILLS. I would like to give zero stars. Let's think of a star as a pale, sad homage to the beautiful it once was.
