Electric hum not very Zen
So the lamp itself and the spare bulbs looked like they had been packed by an 8 year old (nothing against 8 year olds but come on) and so far the lamp is working fine and is actually very nice when turned on there is a buzzing sound of electricity. My guess is that the wiring is causing the buzz, not the bulb itself. In any case, it doesn't help me relax at all, so I'm considering returning it. Looks like I have a neon sign in my room instead of a cold Jupiter-like salt lamp.
