works fine but not for my situation
I often shoot looking up and the monitor mounted on top of the camera makes it much harder when you tilt the camera backwards. I have a nice tripod with a metal ball head, but it can't hold the camera securely due to the extra weight (I'm using a 7" monitor with an external battery - it's quite heavy). It's good for horizontal shots.
