Edit: The soda wasn't fully carbonated yet after they closed it on Friday and tasted it on Monday morning. HOWEVER, I took this test sip knowing there was no dust, fruit flies, or radioactive particles in the soda. Also, it wasn't entirely flat. So I bought them for home use at 12 ounces. Beer cans (especially Founder's All Day IPA). You have to put some pressure on them to make them "lock themselves in" somehow, but that's the point, right? So far these things have worked great. It can take me up to 2 days from opening a beer to drinking it with no loss of carbonation. The fact is I don't need 6 of these covers. So I kept 2 and took the rest to work. My colleagues are idiots. A colleague started asking me if they work with bottles. "Of course," I told her, "as long as the neck of the bottle is the same diameter as a 12-ounce can." Then other colleagues joined in and suggested rolling it up and putting it in the neck of the bottle, etc. I disagree with that to twist this product and put it in the neck of the bottle. 4 remaining hats (the last one goes to a co-worker coming back on Monday). I actually had to buy a can of coke from the cafeteria, demonstrate how to use it, and then have everyone test it themselves (basically demonstrating that you have to press down to lock it onto the can). . concept, anyway. I work with some pretty smart people, but I think we all have our "special" moments and they were all amazed by the concept until they tried it. So they are also suitable for 12 oz. Cans of Coca Cola. I ended up opening the can and having a drink (I mean heck I paid a dollar for it, maybe I'll drink!). At the end of the day (it was only last Friday) I took this 4th hat (it's actually the 6th. Just to reiterate, I kept 2, gave 3 away, left one to give to another colleague tomorrow) and a can of coke on top and put that can in the microfridge I have (this thing could barely hold 6 cans of unopened soda but it's perfect for me). hisses on Monday. You know what? I do not know! I'll be in touch tomorrow to see if the cola is fizzing or not. But hey, even if it's flat, who knows? Maybe my stomach hurts and I need a non-alcoholic coke to fix it.
