I needed an extra French Press for a long trip ahead, so I decided on this one to make it my favorite machine for everyday use after my trip. .First observations: - This is a beautiful French press. The copper color is very impressive. I usually put my more handy French press on the shelf after I've used it, but I'd like to keep this one on the counter. High-contrast fill level indicator at the top. It's easy to see where the cap needs to be aligned with a pot press. First use: I cleaned the press before use and made the pot with my normal daily grind. I was hoping that the dual filter would do an even better job of reducing the amount of sludge at the bottom of the beaker (part of life that comes with using a French Press). I was a bit disappointed because it didn't work any better than any other french press I've used. It may sound silly, but this is the easiest, most balanced French press I've ever used. It feels balanced and pleasantly heavy in my hand. Very comfortable and reduces spills. The French Press is my favorite way to brew coffee. This corresponds to what I expect from a French Press. Overall, this is a highly recommended, beautiful and comfortable French Press that is excellent value for money.
