Review on 🔧 SKIL 4-Piece Brushless Oscillating Tool Kit by David Pullen

I have had Dewalt 18 volt cordless tools for many years and they have served me well. I do various small jobs. I finally decided it was time to upgrade my tools and wish the tools weren't so big and bulky since I don't build patios or houses. I have a friend who has 12 volt Milwaukee tools and while I like them, they seemed undersized for the power of the new 12 volt tools and probably more expensive too since you're paying for the name. I decided I needed something smaller than my DeWalt tools but a little more substantial than Milwaukee 12v tools. The skil matched the description perfectly and was much cheaper than the other options. Also, I desperately needed an oscillating multi-tool, which is included in this set. I've had the tools for about three months now and they have exceeded my expectations! The only criticism is the drill chuck. I've had bits fall out a few times during use. Tightening the chuck is harder than my DeWalt drill. I think one reason for this is that the cartridge in the DeWalt is all metal, but the plastic cartridge on the ski is a bit more difficult to keep from slipping off your hand when tightening. However, the good thing about the chuck is that if the bit I'm using has a hex base, the chuck has a magnetic hole inside that fits hex bits, and that's really handy, you don't even have to pull up a chuck. I really liked the multi tool. My friend got the Milwaukee 12v multi tool at the same time I got the Skil. We both noticed that the Milwaukee sounded a bit harsher and crisper when running around the gearbox. The Skil sounds "smoother" in comparison, but cuts just as fast, if not faster. The only thing I would recommend is to buy a big 4Ah 12V battery if you use the multi tool a lot. Batteries with a capacity of 2 Ah are quickly empty. All in all I am very impressed with the set and have recommended it to several family members and friends.
