Review on AudioVox XAPV2 PowerConnect Vehicle XMp3I by Anil Jaimes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Has everything you need and easy to install.

(UPDATED) This kit has two ways to connect to your car stereo: 1) through the AUX jack or 2) through the PowerConnect (FM transmitter) function included in the XMP3i player is integrated. myself. After receiving the XMP3i for my birthday, I ordered a car kit so I could enjoy satellite radio in my car (Chevrolet Trailblazer 2002). The antenna cable is nice and long so you can run it from the dashboard to the top/back of the car with little rest. All cables are connected to the docking station, so you can easily detach and hide or take your XMp3i with you. It comes with a remote control which I thought was stupid at first but after using it I found that it is much easier to use the remote while driving than the buttons on the player. As long as you place the antenna as instructed in the instructions, reception is as good as a factory installed XM radio (I've had both). It comes with two mounting methods (dash mount or air conditioner vent clips). If you are using an adhesive dash mount make sure you know exactly where you need it as it only comes with an adhesive strip. Otherwise you will need to buy some 3M Super Adhesive Foam Strips. Sure, it's not a deal killer, but it's a little annoying. Overall, the XM Car Kit was easy to install. Now I can listen to satellite radio on long trips! Hooray!
