Good for cars and automotive electronics at first glance

Installed as a replacement for the XpressRC kit. The mounting holes matched, as did the antenna connector, making it easy to swap out. The kit includes everything you need, mount on the bracket, screw on and mount on the air conditioning vent. There's even a remote control so the kids in the back seat can control the radio and drive you crazy. The best thing about the devices is the power connection. It transmits an FM signal through the car's power system, which is eventually transmitted…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not sure

It is just as described.

When I bought the replacement SiriusXM receiver I chose the portable one because of the versatility. I still wanted to use it in the car so this kit was just what I needed. It matches the description and comes with an extra remote control so I can leave it at home. The only thing I didn't like was how they modified the mounting kit, which now has an extended piece that moves it another 1.5 inches off the dash. That might sound better in theory, but it strays too far from the dash and is more…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some bugs

The car adapter also works with XMP3 (no "i ")

After much deliberation I ordered this adapter but I am not sure if it will work with my previous XMP3 model (no "i") would. That's all it works! I needed a device that would broadcast FM so I could listen to the radio in my motorcycle helmet. I have Scala Rider FM. This device "opens" an additional set of menu options that allow the XMP3 to tune the built in FM station to ANY FM station. It also looks like you can put 4 FM stations in the "Context" menu, although I haven't tested this. If you…

AudioVox XM XAPV2 PowerConnect Car Kit

I have purchased two of these kits. I installed one on my SUV and the other on my truck. The instructions for laying the antenna cable were very good. I've had no trouble running antenna cables from the back of the SUV to the dash, and no problem running antenna cables from the top of the truck to the dash. There are two mounting options for the radio bracket included in the kit. One is to remove and glue the bracket and the other is to attach to the air vent. I used a jingle and stick for both

Pros
  • Free for educational institutions
Cons
  • Minor issues

Recommended for XMP3 owners

Bought to listen to an XMP3 player in my car (Honda Goldwing, ha). With a little effort, I installed the power connector on said bike, "permanently" attached the antenna to the dash by routing the wire behind the panels, and voila! I have XM on the way. Not only that, sometimes XM receivers fail and refuse to work. At this point, you can connect the device to another power source to bring it out of its daze. This kit with the "alternative XM power supply" has done this trick several times…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons

A necessary accessory when using XMp3i in your car

Bought a new car and didn't have an option for XM. I looked at the deals at my local BestBuy and decided to try the portable XMp3i instead of the car mounted options. I thought he would get more use out of it if he could move it. I found that I would use it almost every time I was in the car and opted for the car mount. This kit was a requirement for me as I needed to get a signal in my car. This kit works amazingly well and is easy to install and use. I have to recommend this to anyone who…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Was damaged

Has everything you need and easy to install.

(UPDATED) This kit has two ways to connect to your car stereo: 1) through the AUX jack or 2) through the PowerConnect (FM transmitter) function included in the XMP3i player is integrated. myself. After receiving the XMP3i for my birthday, I ordered a car kit so I could enjoy satellite radio in my car (Chevrolet Trailblazer 2002). The antenna cable is nice and long so you can run it from the dashboard to the top/back of the car with little rest. All cables are connected to the docking station…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

PowerConnect Car Kit

I'm an old hand in the XM world. I've been using XM for more than 10 years - I admit I liked it more before the merger with Sirius. No amount of competition has produced an indifferent service (although still better than terrestrial radio!). I don't have a new radio yet, obviously the weather in Nebraska is holding up UPS today. But I have a new car kit and it connects to an antenna already installed, an audio cable from my aux input on my Pioneer radio and a bracket already installed from my…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative impression
