I was changing oil on my wife's CR-V and trying to grab an old filter and unscrew it, the whole wrench twisting and bending where it wouldn't snap could because the metal is so soft. Because it couldn't latch, it couldn't grab the car's small filter, making it impossible to remove. However, I was able to bend it the other way (which I didn't have to do with my hands) so that it eventually locked in place long enough to remove the filter. I wouldn't buy it if you expect multiple uses.
