Very hard, difficult to compress plastic. Back immediately.
I wanted them to hold viscous liquids like shampoo, conditioner and lotions for travel. These bottles are difficult to squeeze and if you squeeze hard the plastic is so hard it will crack and bulge, it sounds like it's about to break and you have to squeeze in the opposite direction to snap it back into shape bring. If you want a hard, hard-to-squeeze bottle, fine. I do not recommend and returning for a refund.
